I am Meghann - the mom of a 4th grade boy, the wife of my best friend, a proud nurse.
I have always loved to cook and bake, and started my first blog as a place to store recipes I find and want to try.
Then, while on maternity leave in the Fall of 2009, I began couponing as a way to get what my growing family needed and still afford other bills. After a few weeks of great savings, I was hooked!
Over ten years later, the world of coupons has changed drastically, but some of the core concepts are the same. Meal planning (and cooking at home,) building a stock pile by purchasing things on sale before you need them, shopping at places like Aldi and Sams/CostCo, and using coupons (plus new things like Ibotta and Cartwheel) to stay within your budget are all things that take work - but when you see what a difference it can make, it is worth every minute!
Wow, never thought of making my own Taco seasoning! Thanks for th tip :) Prob pretty inexpensive too! Even tho I can usually get taco seasoning free :-)
Good for when you're in a pinch! We used it the other night when Steve's mom was visiting - she is gluten intolerant, and regular taco seasoning has gluten/corn in it. Tasted normal in Taco Chili, and it saved me a trip to the store to search for organic taco seasoning!
